Talkle Terms of Service

These terms and conditions govern the rights, obligations, and responsibilities between members (hereinafter referred to as "students") and operators regarding the use of the Talkle program (hereinafter referred to as "this service"). By applying for enrollment, you are deemed to have agreed to these terms, and we ask for your understanding and responsible participation.

1. Course Registration and Usage Guidelines

1.1 Students must complete course registration through the Talkle website or a separate registration application link. Upon completion of registration, system access guidance and learning resources will be provided.

1.2 The course period is considered to be from the registration date until one day before the same date of the following month.

1.3 Students can use all services including individually guided worksheets, AI learning systems, practical conversation sessions, and feedback reports, operated on a monthly subscription basis.

2. Practical Conversation Session Operating Regulations

2.1 Practical conversation sessions consist of regular conversation sessions among designated circle members.

2.2 Sessions are operated in 1:1 format when possible, but may be automatically adjusted to 3-person format in the following situations:

  • When the circle has an odd number of members
  • When sudden absences occur in specific sessions

2.3 3-person conversations can provide opportunities for practical training closer to actual group conversations and do not affect feedback and report provision.

2.4 Response to sudden absences:

  • If a session partner does not enter at the designated time, wait for 3 minutes
  • Then enter another Talkle room (voice channel) where conversation is in progress for a 3-person conversation
  • Upon entering, immediately explain the situation and participate in the conversation courteously
  • Existing conversation members should warmly welcome the new member and continue the conversation together

2.5 Advance absence notification:

  • Practical conversation sessions are commitments with circle members
  • In case of unavoidable absence, you must notify the circle group chat or Talkle operation team (Discord, KakaoTalk, etc.) at least 24 hours in advance
  • Accumulated unnotified absences may result in restrictions on future circle composition

2.6 Practical conversation session etiquette:

  • Participate with video on when possible (for conversation training including facial expressions and gestures)
  • Do not interrupt others' speech
  • Provide sincere reactions and listen attentively
  • Prohibit aggressive expressions, rude language, political, religious, or discriminatory remarks
  • Cooperate in creating considerate conversation and beneficial atmosphere

3. Learning Missions and Rewards

3.1 Weekly worksheets and AI learning missions provided from the 1st to the last day of each month can be completed optionally, but special rewards are provided when all missions are completed.

3.2 Students who complete all missions for the month can submit a refund application by the 5th of the following month and receive a 50% refund of that month's tuition after review.

3.3 Refunds are made through verification of learning participation records, and may be rejected in case of false submission or excessive omissions.

3.4 Core or Pro membership refund guidance:

Even for students subscribing to Core or Pro membership, if you faithfully complete all monthly learning missions and submit a refund application, you can receive a refund of ₩39,500, which is 50% of the Starter membership (regular price ₩79,000).

However, if you registered with discount benefits, the refund will be made at a rate corresponding to the Basic standard amount within the discounted actual payment amount.

Example: If you registered for Core membership at a 20% discount → Starter ₩79,000 × 80% = ₩63,200 → 50% of this amount, ₩31,600, becomes the maximum refund.

This is because Talkle's refund system is a reward program based on participation and sincerity in the core functions of Starter membership (worksheets, AI coach, practical conversations, etc.) commonly provided to all members, not the entire service including coaching.

4. Refund Policy

4.1 Full refund is possible if within 7 days of course registration and no participation in practical conversation sessions.

4.2 If you have participated in practical conversation sessions one or more times, or if 8 or more days have passed since registration, refunds will proceed according to the following criteria:

  • Monthly course: Daily calculation of remaining period with 10% penalty deduction
  • Long-term registration (3 months or more): Convert monthly unit price used until course termination to regular price standard, and refund after deducting 10% penalty from remaining amount

4.3 When students who received long-term registration discount benefits terminate midway, the discounted amount will be retroactively applied based on regular price and deducted.

5. Program Composition and Changes

5.1 Talkle includes AI-based worksheets, 1:1 practical conversations, weekly missions, and customized feedback. Some composition, schedules, prices, and content may be changed after prior notice as needed for operation.

5.2 Updates and curriculum enhancements for service improvement are made within the scope that does not disadvantage students and may be applied from time to time.

6. Personal Information and Content Protection

6.1 Students' personal information is used only for providing and operating Talkle services and is not provided to external parties without authorization.

6.2 Practical conversation session recordings are used only for providing personalized feedback reports and are not shared with third parties without consent.

6.3 Content and recordings created by students are stored for a certain period (maximum 3 months) after course completion and then deleted.

7. Other Matters

7.1 These terms are based on the laws of the Republic of Korea, and in case of legal disputes, the competent court shall be the Seoul Central District Court.
